No, we’re not surprised.
Back in 2008 when gas prices spiked, Fox News said “no President has the power to increase or to lower gas prices.” And that the best way to reduce gas prices is to reduce consumption, so Americans should “get rid of those gas guzzlers, buy decent insulation for your house.”
But now, Fox News is blaming high gas prices on Obama
Two videos showing various clips with their air dates show a pretty striking change in the rhetoric about gas prices, which seems to correspond to the change of presidents.
I would like to know what software they used to make this graph. Wouldn’t you think it would produce an accurate graph? Simpler explanation: Fox just couldn’t bring itself to show a downtick in unemployment, no matter how small, so they edited it.
Premiere On Call, a division of the Clear Channel subsidiary that distributes Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck, is a service that hires actors to call into radio shows and read a script that purports to be a true story presented by the public. They bind their actors to confidentiality agreements, and disavow any involvement in fraud, saying “Premiere, like many other content providers, facilitates casting—while character and script development, and how the talent’s contribution is integrated into programs, are handled by the varied stations.”
In this Fox News segment about the recent U.S. District Court decision banning the National Day of Prayer, Dan Barker (author of Godless: How an Evangelical Preacher Became One of America’s Leading Atheists) handily parries a Fox News announcer’s clumsy blows.
In just over 5 minutes, Barker makes the pro-prayer-day Fox News host look like a complete doofus.
